One Marriage tilts the city Chapter 23

There were six zeros on it. It was two million.

For me it was a huge amount of money. Maybe I wouldn't be able to earn that much in my whole life. But for Fang Yin, it was just a drop in the ocean. He didn't even blink. It showed how big the gap between us was.

I stifled the chaotic thoughts in my head and whispered a word of thanks in a choked voice. After washing up, I hailed a taxi and rushed to the hospital. I didn't even have time for breakfast.

But when I arrived at the hospital, I found that my parents weren't there. I panicked.

I quickly took out my mobile phone and called my mother, worriedly asking, "Mum, I'm in the district hospital, where have you gone?

After a short pause, my mother's soft voice came through. I didn't know if it was just an illusion, but although my mother sounded tired, she didn't sound as worried as before.

"Momo, I forgot to tell you that your father was transferred to Shi Sihan Hospital for treatment this morning. You should come here as soon as possible."

Shi Sihan Hospital?

It was the best private hospital in City A. Of course, the medical fees weren't cheap. Where did my mother get the money to transfer my father to another hospital?

I hung up the phone and took a taxi to Shi Sihan Hospital. I saw my mother at the entrance to the Intensive Care Unit.

It had only been a few days since I had last seen my mother. Her face was pale and sallow. Her face, which used to be well cared for, now had a few wrinkles. She looked as if she had aged a few years.

Tears streamed down my cheeks. I rushed forward and hugged my mother's thin body. "Mum, don't be afraid. I'm back."

My mother hugged me tightly. Her hot tears rolled down my neck, burning my heart and making it ache.

After a while, my mother calmed down. I took out a handkerchief to wipe away her tears. Then I turned to see my father in the ward.

He was wearing a patient's gown. His eyes were closed and there was a respirator in his mouth. He looked extremely weak.

My heart ached. The tears I had just held back started rolling down my cheeks again.

"How is my father? Did the doctor say what kind of illness he has? "

My mother stopped crying when she heard my question. She looked at the ward and said slowly, "That day, your father's mouth and eyes became lopsided. I rushed to take him to the hospital. The doctor said it was a cerebral thrombosis. It took a long time to save him, but his condition hasn't stabilised. The hospital issued several critical illness reports. I had no choice but to call you."

"How is Dad now?"

My heart hurt so much I couldn't breathe. I clenched my fists. It was such a critical moment, but I couldn't stay with my parents. As a daughter, I was unfilial.

"The doctor said that your father's condition has temporarily stabilised. As long as he survives the critical period, he will be completely safe."

Hearing my mother's words, my heart, which had been beating like crazy, finally calmed down a little.

Shi Sihan Hospital was the best hospital in City A. Since the doctor said so, there must be no big problem.

However...

"Mum, why were you suddenly transferred to Shi Sihan Hospital?"

When his mother heard this, she was stunned and quickly said, "Didn't you find someone to transfer your father here to get the best treatment? It's a man with the surname Fang. He said he's your friend. "

Surnamed Fang?

Almost immediately, Fang Yin's face appeared in my mind.

But in the next second, I subconsciously pushed the thought away. Would he really do that?
