Half a month had passed.
During that time, Fang Yin and I got along well. He no longer forced me to do things I didn't want to do. Maybe it was because of the conversation we had last time.
Although Fang Yin didn't say anything after he woke up, he took the initiative to make an appointment for a prenatal check-up. He even hired a nanny to take care of me. It showed that he really wanted to raise this child.
I didn't know what to do. I didn't know when he would change his mind. So I didn't pay much attention. I ate and slept. My belly got bigger and bigger.
I also went to the hospital several times. My father's condition had stabilised. He was fine now. He just needed to rest.
One day, I had just woken up from my afternoon nap and was drinking the bird's nest soup that the nanny had cooked. Then I got a call from Fang Yin.
"Get ready. You're going to an event with me tonight."
His commanding tone left no room for negotiation.
I had to do as I was told. I chose a loose strapless dress to cover my belly and applied some light make-up.
As the sky darkened, Fang Yin returned.
He examined me from head to toe. His thick eyebrows were furrowed, but he didn't say anything. He turned and went to change. He was wearing a white shirt and a navy blue blazer.
As I looked at him, he grabbed a scarf and draped it over my shoulder. Then he pulled me out of the door.
But I knew he wasn't satisfied with my bare shoulders. I felt a little happy inside.
When we arrived at our destination, I found out that it was the Yutai Hotel. It was the place where Ling Feng and I had held our wedding ceremony. I felt irritated, especially when I saw the wedding photo of Ling Feng and Lin Keke on the screen.
When I thought about how Lin Keke had sullied this place, I felt like I had a fishbone stuck in my throat. I turned around and was about to leave when Fang Yin pulled me back.
"Where are you going?"
Since he already knew the answer, I got even angrier. I slapped his hand away. "Let's go back!"
What activity? We're here to attend Ling Feng's wedding ceremony! He knew I didn't want to go, but he lied to me. Did he want me to make a fool of myself?
Fang Yin calmed down and looked at me coldly.
I shuddered as if I had just woken up from a dream. I remembered that he had a bad temper. It was just that I had been living too comfortably during this time and had actually forgotten all about it.
I was stunned. I didn't know if I should leave, but I couldn't stay either. My heart was full of anger.
Our actions had already attracted the attention of the people around us.
Seeing this, Fang Yin sighed. He put his hand on my waist and led me forward.
"Remember, you are attending the wedding as my escort. It has nothing to do with him."
"Got it."
I lowered my eyes and replied quietly. My fingers tightened around my purse. I was angry at Fang Yin for acting first and reporting later. At the same time, I was worried that I was about to meet the bastard couple.
By the time we arrived, the wedding ceremony had already started. As the bride and groom, Ling Feng and Lin Keke stood on the stage with their wedding photos behind them.
The more I looked at them, the more angry I became. I pretended they didn't exist and concentrated on eating.
Fang Yin sat next to me and greeted the people who came to greet him. Occasionally he would put some food in my bowl.
I glanced at the stage and realized that Ling Feng had gone somewhere, leaving Lin Keke alone.
Merry Christmas Everyone.
